Thursday, March 31st- Stop the Bleed Training!

Learn how to pack wounds, apply pressure with your hands, and even apply a tourniquet with a trauma surgeon and Stop the Bleed professional. Stay after school for one hour and learn skills that will be invaluable in “stopping the bleed” and saving others lives. 

Join the Stop the Bleed Club and Dr. Jack Sava, the Chief of Trauma and director of the Gold Surgery Team at Washington Hospital Center, after school in room W419 on Thursday, March 31st, for a hands-on learning experience on emergency medical response and stopping traumatic blood loss. Students and teachers are both welcome. The hour-long course will teach 3 key techniques that anyone can do to help save a life. The number one cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding- that’s why we want you to learn how to STOP THE BLEED.

Spots may be limited, so participation may be first come, first serve. Please contact julietfranklin1@gmail.com for more information, or to sign up for the course! Please do email to sign-up, as we aren’t sure if we will be able to accept walk-ins.
