Do Good: Blood Drive and Be-The-Match Drives

On March 21, Jackson-Reed is hosting a blood drive in honor of Reilly Webb, a former Jackson-Reed student who passed away due to leukemia. Students who are 16 years or older may pick up a consent form in the atrium or fill it out at The event will last all day and students who donate will be excused from class, receive free snacks, and get a free shirt. Donating 1 pint saves three lives. If you have any questions, please reach out to

This year, Jackson-Reed is also partnering with Be-The-Match. Be The Match connects patients with life-threatening blood cancers and diseases with a matching donor for blood stem cell transplants. With one swab, you will join the registry to see if you will be a potential match. The Be-The-Match drive will take place on the same day as the Blood Drive, March 21.
