University of Wisconsin Engineering Summer Program

The College of Engineering will host the Engineering Summer Program (ESP) virtually from July 12th through July 30th, 2021. The virtual ESP is a free, three-week program designed to engage students who perform strongly in math and science and would like to explore careers in engineering. The ESP course curriculum includes math, physics, chemistry, and engineering. Other structured programming include virtual industry site visits, guest lectures, workshops, and faculty mentoring.
 
To apply, students must:
  • Complete the online application form
  • Submit official high school transcript
  • Submit math or science teacher recommendation form
  • Submit non-refundable $20 application fee (fee waivers available)

Submission deadline for all application material is May 17th, 2021 and students will be notified by June 11th, 2021. Students who will be first in their families to attend college, low-income students, students of color, and women are especially encouraged to apply. If you know of creative, motivated students who have strong potential and could benefit from participating in the Virtual Engineering Summer Program, please share this information with students and their parents.
